— POEMS —
by Owen Andrews

Music for Orphans explores the mysteries of childhood and family, queer love and desire, the body in flower and in decline, and the natural world. These taut, well-made poems give pleasure through expert story-telling, unforced rightness in the language, and richness in details and imagery. Understated, beautiful, humorous, and sometimes heart-breaking, Music for Orphans is a meditation on what we hold fast and what we yearn for.

OUR MISSION

Four Winds Press was founded in 2014 to find a new place on the publishing spectrum between the gated communities of the major publishers and the crowded stadiums of self-publishing. Our list includes fiction, poetry, memoir, and essays in translation; we’re also open to polemic.
